About Good Morning PT and Rehab

Nick Herrin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 10 years experience in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, Cardiology, and Oncology Prehab and Rehab.

He has worked with athletes of all ages and skill levels from pre-K to D1 and pro athletes in baseball, basketball, football, track, volleyball, and wrestling.

He has 6 years experience as the Team Lead for rehab in Oncology and Cardiology at major Dayton hospital system including palliative care/end of life care.

Nick led the charge during the pandemic for training staff and kickstarted the bariatric bundle committee to improve care for bariatric patients at a major Dayton hospital system.

BIO:

Nick is a Carroll HS grad and grew up in Beavercreek participating in Beavercreek Sox baseball program. He earned 11 varsity letters at high levels of competition.

He played DIII football at Otterbien University for 1 year and then started the OSU club football team and graduated at President and ranked 2nd in the country with 2 teammates walking on to the 2011 national championship team. He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology at OSU.

He came home to UD for Doctor of PT program and graduated in 2015 after participating in research with NCAA D1 volleyball and basketball players as well as MLB and NBA players. During this time he coached junior high football.

Nick has worked in a nursing home, hospital, and 2 outpatient PT clinics giving him a well rounded medical background.

During his leadership at major Dayton hospital as Team Lead for Cardiology and Oncology, he was sought out by surgeons and trusted to provide progressive activity to open heart patients and was trusted to provide palliative/end of life care and education for positioning, wound prevention, and comfort .

Nick volunteers for CYO sports, BSA soccer, and JBA basketball and is a founder of the nationally ranked Ohio State Club Football Team.

Experienced in Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track/Field, Volleyball, wrestling, skiing, golf, and weight lifting.
